Charlotte Knights to Strike Out ALZ on Sept. 9

Alzheimer’s Awareness Night at Truist Field

The Alzheimer’s Association – Western Carolina Chapter is teaming up with the Charlotte Knights to Strike Out ALZ — Alzheimer’s Awareness Night on Saturday, Sept. 9 at Truist Field – 324 South Mint Street in Charlotte.  

Proceeds from Strike Out ALZ will support the Association’s 2023 Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Charlotte taking place on Oct. 21 to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.

The game against the Durham Bulls begins at 5:35 p.m. with gates opening at 4:30 p.m. —  and will conclude with fireworks.

Highlights of the event include:

  • Fans are encouraged to wear purple
  • The first 250 fans through the gates of Truist Field will receive a Promise Garden Flower pinwheel.
  • First pitch will be thrown out by Charlotte Walk Presenting Sponsor, The Sharon at SouthPark.
  • The Alzheimer’s Association will have a table in the Community Corner with educational resources, as well as sign-up information for the upcoming Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Charlotte. Fans can also stop by the table to purchase glow sticks in our promise garden colors to symbolize their connection to Alzheimer’s.
  • Visit any concession stands during the game to support the Walk by rounding up your purchase to help raise funds for the cause.

Lambert, CEO for the Alzheimer’s Association – Western Carolina Chapter. “Alzheimer’s Association Awareness Nights like this provide the opportunity for us to talk about the impact Alzheimer’s has and the care and support the Association can provide to local families in the Greater Charlotte area.”

Every ticket sold through the link below will provide a $5 donation to Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Charlotte.
