From September through November, we hold 17 Walk to End Alzheimer’s events across the state, uniting communities with a common goal – to #ENDALZ. While the Walk itself is a one-day event, fundraising is a year-round effort. To help maintain momentum after the Walk, here are some ideas to continue raising funds towards your personal goal, your team goal, or to keep supporting the fight to #ENDALZ. Donations toward this year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s are accepted until December 31, 2024, to be eligible for incentive prizes.
- Share Event Photos: Below are links to each Walk photo album. Download event photos or share the album on social media to highlight your involvement. Use these to thank your supporters and donors and share your Walk fundraising page for those who still wish to contribute.
- Facebook Fundraiser: Facebook provides an excellent social tool for fundraising for a cause. Use your Walk Participant Center or the ALZ Fundraising app to connect your Facebook fundraiser to your account, then share with all your Facebook connections. Watch this tutorial to learn how to connect your Walk fundraising page to Facebook today.

- Holiday Gift Wrapping: With the holidays approaching, gather your Walk team to offer gift wrapping services in exchange for donations to the Alzheimer’s Association. Partner with malls, stores or community spaces to host this fundraiser.
- Employee Match Programs: Double your Impact! Many employers match charitable contributions made by their employees. Encourage your team and donors to visit alz.org/walkmatch to see if their company participates.
- Wear it for ALZ Purple Party: Host a purple-themed party with attire, decor and snacks in the Association’s signature color. Ask guests for donations to support the Alzheimer’s Association. Alternatively, invite co-workers to “Wear it for ALZ” by having fun with their wardrobe while making a difference. Your local Walk manager can provide you with “Wear it for ALZ” stickers.
- Coordinate a Point-of-Purchase Fundraiser: The iconic pinwheel flowers from each Walk to End Alzheimer’s event symbolize connection to the cause and make cherished keepsakes. Invite your friends, colleagues, and community members to support your team by creating a display of point-of-purchase flowers. Encourage a $5 donation per flower, with all proceeds benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association. Contact your local Walk manager to organize this fundraiser.
