Dear North Carolina, we are thankful for YOU!

During this season of Thanksgiving, we at the Alzheimer’s Association in North Carolina want to extend our deepest gratitude to our incredible community. This season of thankfulness is a perfect time to reflect on the many blessings we share and the profound impact of your support.

We at the Alzheimer’s Association know well the generosity of North Carolinians, but this past Fall has displayed that giving spirit even more in the face of the unimaginable in western North Carolina. The effect of Hurricane Helene on our western neighbors continues to be top of mind and we, like you, are committed to being there for our families, caregivers, volunteers, partners and all who need us.

Your unwavering dedication to our mission — to lead the way to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementia by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support — is truly inspiring. Each act of kindness, every donation, and all the moments spent raising awareness bring us closer to a world without Alzheimer’s.

We are especially thankful for the compassion and resilience of our supporters. Your efforts to educate the public, secure funding, and provide care to those affected by this disease are the backbone of our progress. It is through your relentless fight that we find hope and strength.

“Thankfulness is the beginning of gratitude. Gratitude is the completion of thankfulness. Thankfulness may consist merely in words. Gratitude is shown in acts.”

~ Henri Frederic Amiel

This Thanksgiving, we celebrate not just with words, but with the collective actions of our community that drive us forward.

From all of us at the Alzheimer’s Association, we wish you a warm and joyous Thanksgiving. May your holiday be filled with love, reflection, and the company of those you hold dear.

With heartfelt gratitude,

KATHERINE L. LAMBERT
