A Night to Remember Cocktail Party for Alzheimer’s Being Held in Raleigh May 30

UPDATE: Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing guidelines from the CDC, this event has unfortunately been canceled. We will have other great opportunities to connect this summer and we will be in touch with ticket holders in the near future. All young professionals are invited to join the Alzheimer’s Association and RivALZ – Blondes vs. Brunettes Raleigh (RivALZ Raleigh) for “A Night to Remember” on Saturday, May 30 (rescheduled from 3/28).

The cocktail party and silent auction will take place from 7-10 p.m. at Marbles Kids Museum, located at 201 East Hargett Street in Raleigh. All proceeds will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association and RivALZ Raleigh.

Tickets are $50 for RivALZ Raleigh players and $75 for guests. Entry includes open bar, heavy hors d’oeuvres and live music by Major Vice. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit tinyurl.com/RivALZtix.

RivALZ is a volunteer-driven flag football fundraiser where two teams of young professional women (and men) are organized around age-old rivalries – East vs. West, Blondes vs. Brunettes, City vs. Suburbs – to tackle Alzheimer’s disease, the nation’s sixth-leading cause of death. This year’s RivALZ Raleigh game and fundraiser will take place on Saturday, June 13. To learn more or to join a team, contact Bethany Wood at Bewood@alz.org or at 919-803-8285.

“We appreciate the women and men of RivALZ Raleigh for their amazing support in co-hosting our annual cocktail party and silent auction,” said Lisa Roberts, executive director of the Alzheimer’s Association, Eastern North Carolina Chapter. “This is always a fun evening to celebrate with the players, coaches, sponsors and friends of the RivALZ Raleigh community as we raise funds to end Alzheimer’s. We encourage the Triangle community to join us March 28 to help tackle Alzheimer’s off the field as we gear up for this year’s RivALZ Raleigh season.”

Since the inaugural game in Washington, D.C., RivALZ has grown to more than 35 cities, raising more than $9 million and bringing thousands of new supporters to the cause. RivALZ – Blondes vs. Brunettes Raleigh ranked No. 3 out of 42 RivALZ games played nationwide in 2019. This year’s RivALZ Raleigh goal is to raise $183,000 for Alzheimer’s research, care and support.
