While some of us may not know how to turn on a gaming console let alone consider ourselves to be streamers or gamers, we probably all know someone who lives for it! Maybe it’s your grandson or best friend or co-worker. Invite them to show off their skills and help us #ENDALZ. We’re calling all streamers and gamers to participate in The Longest Day. Maybe you can organize a video game tournament or play solo at home. Or maybe you are a content creator or just want to play the latest releases while livestreaming it! Ask for donations or challenge players to fundraise within their own networks. Choose a multiplayer game so that lots of people can participate together. Be as creative as you want to be!
With a new tool, participants can now host a livestream fundraiser to #ENDALZ. You can now add fundraising overlays and widgets to your favorite live streaming service. You’ll be able to track your fundraising progress, receive alerts, and much more all while playing your favorite game!
Get started with 5 easy steps:
- Register your streaming event with The Longest Day
- Promote your game/streaming event on social media and to all friends and family!
- Pick your game and streaming platform (ex. Mixer, Facebook Live, Twitch or Youtube)
- Enable livestreaming and receive your livestream URL from your Participant Center
- Game on and help us #ENDALZ!

Are you ready to help us #ENDALZ? Game on!
About the Longest Day?
The Longest Day is the day with the most light — the summer solstice. On June 20, people from across the world will fight the darkness of Alzheimer’s through a fundraising activity of their choice. Together, they use their creativity and passion to raise funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.
The Longest Day, which has always been a virtual event is still taking place as planned, culminating on the summer solstice, June 20, 2020. The comfort and safety are of the utmost importance to the Alzheimer’s Association, so we understand if your plans have now changed. As coronavirus (COVID-19) changes many aspects of our daily life, you can still make an impact in the fight against Alzheimer’s by fundraising for The Longest Day. Depending on your situation, The Longest Day could provide a healthy outlet for you and your family during an extended stay at home. For those wishing to explore how you can continue to support The Longest day virtually, reach out to Hannah Litaker at hwlitaker@alz.org or 980.498.7724 or learn more online.
