On behalf of the Alzheimer’s Association in North Carolina — our Board of Directors, staff, and the Alzheimer’s community in our noble state, we want to wish you and yours well this Thanksgiving. We hope the essence of this season provides a time to reflect upon all for which we are are grateful.
Those of us at the Association will celebrate the day with the thoughts of your compassion that go beyond just this one special day. We wish to thank each and every one of you for all you have done to support us as we work toward our mission: to lead the way to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
One of the greatest triumphs of addressing the extensive and complex challenge of our mission is working alongside uplifting supporters like you. Your unrelenting fight to end Alzheimer’s — to enlist support, educate the public, discover new sources of funding, and hearten those impacted by the disease — continues to inspire all of us.
“Thankfulness is the beginning of gratitude. Gratitude is the completion of thankfulness. Thankfulness may consist merely in words. Gratitude is shown in acts.”
~ Henri Frederic Amiel
