National Volunteer Week 2023 — A Thanks from NC Leadership

Dear North Carolina Alzheimer’s Association Volunteers,

Thank you!! We continue to be grateful that you are a part of our team and have chosen to share your time and talents helping those affected by Alzheimer’s disease and all other dementia. As a North Carolina Alzheimer’s Association volunteer, you have delivered critical support and education, raised funds, and advocated for Alzheimer’s priorities to help achieve our vision of a world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia. In partnership with our staff, you have expanded our reach into communities, provided personalized support to those impacted by the disease and moved the mission forward with your passion.

We hope your volunteer experience as an Association partner has been rewarding, enjoyable, and worthwhile. We rely on volunteers like you across all pillars of our organization: from our special events to our care and support, advocacy, operations, and office support; YOU are the lifeline of our organization.

As we have returned to community, we have loved seeing you face to face once again.

The Alzheimer’s Association leads the way to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.  We are grateful for your heart to serve during this year of continued uncertainty.

Thank you again for sharing your time & talents with us! We look forward to another year of work alongside you.

Sincerely,

Katherine L. Lambert
CEO, Western Carolina Chapter

Lisa Roberts
Executive Director, Eastern North Carolina Chapter

P.S.  During National Volunteer Week (April 16-22) we are taking a moment to celebrate all of you who are volunteers (or potential volunteers!) here in North Carolina for the Association.  You are invited to join us for Cheers for Volunteers on Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 6:00-6:30 p.m. RSVP here.  We also are proud to be spotlighting our volunteers, their inspiring stories and contributions in the fight against Alzheimer’s and all other dementia on our Western Carolina Facebook  and our Eastern North Carolina Facebook pages daily during the week.
