With the hustle and bustle of the season, we’d like to take some time on December 21 — the winter solstice — to shine our lights together to honor caregivers, those living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, and those we’ve lost to the disease.

Our luminaries are a reminder that working together, we can light a path to a future without Alzheimer’s. If you’d like to include your loved one in our special ceremony, please submit your tribute here so that we can include it in our ceremony slides.
We’ll email you the link to access the on-demand ceremony so you may watch it with your family and friends using your own light of hope, as we join together to diminish the darkness and illuminate a path towards a world without Alzheimer’s.
*Tributes must be submitted by Dec. 16.*
If you’d like a winter solstice luminary kit, please reach out to Paula Zembal pgzembal@alz.org.
All those impacted by dementia are welcome. Participation in The Longest Day not required for this special ceremony.
The Longest Day is the day with the most light – the summer solstice, but you don’t have to wait until June to honor your loved one. No matter what time of year you participate in The Longest Day, your fundraising dollars fuel our mission-related initiatives of care, support and research. In addition, your actions, both through fundraising and participating in the event helps to change the level of Alzheimer’s awareness in your community.
Join The Longest Day for the winter solstice as we light a path to a future without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia. Register now, raise $200 by 12/21 and earn this festive, light-up tumbler! Together, the strength of our light 🌞 will outshine the darkness of Alzheimer’s.

My name is Donald Jordan, iam already registered. My Masonic Lodge Legacy 1184 would like to register as a team to support Alzheimer’s North Carolina. How can we do that. Thanks
