Prospective Volunteers Invited to Interest Party for The Longest Day

“The Longest Day Committee has been a truly wonderful experience for me. The time and commitment from all on the committee gives me a certain pride that we are all committed to helping raise funds to fight against Alzheimer’s and other dementia. If we continue together we can provide hope that one day there may be a cure.”

Theresa Perry  (The Longest Day 2021 Committee Member)

The Alzheimer’s Association in North Carolina is searching for community leaders. Our goal is to bring volunteers into the fold from across North Carolina. We are looking for amazing people to join us and help us grow the Association’s second largest signature campaign by becoming a member of our Volunteer Committee. We are hoping you might be a great fit or can connect us with someone who is.

The Longest Day is the day with the most light — the summer solstice. And it’s the day the Alzheimer’s Association calls on everyone to to fight the darkness of Alzheimer’s through an activity of their choice. Together, we use our creativity and passion to raise critical funds and awareness to advance Alzheimer’s Association® care, support and research programs.

The Longest Day Volunteer Committee is a fun group of volunteers focused on bringing out the creativity in our fundraisers and teams. Committee members help recruit participants, provide coaching on fundraising and event planning, and spread the word about this exciting campaign.

We will match interested participants with a role that fits their interests, skills and schedule. Meetings are virtual and committee members can be located anywhere in North Carolina. Help us make an impact in just a couple of hours a month.

Join us on screen to learn more and see if our The Longest Day Committee is right for you or someone you know.
