Since 2014, the Alzheimer’s Association has been honored to be the beneficiary for the Queen’s Cup Steeplechase, an annual sporting and social event in the Charlotte region. The event’s Silver Jubilee anniversary will be held on the grounds of Brooklandwood Racecourse in Mineral Springs, NC on Saturday, April 30.
The Alzheimer’s Association – Western Carolina Chapter is delighted to be working closely with the Queen’s Cup team again to make the 2022 fundraising event a huge success that’s done through sponsorship, hospitality, and the registration of more than 100 Alzheimer’s Association volunteers.
Encourage a friend or family member to join you and spend the day in the beautiful Piedmont countryside. Every volunteer is vital for a brilliant performance on race day!
Fun and exciting volunteer shifts are available throughout the day. All volunteers will receive admission, parking, lunch, and t-shirt. (You must be 16 years of age to volunteer and attend one of the trainings (late March-early April) on the grounds in Mineral Springs, NC prior to race day.)

Thanks for the interest, Barbara. The Queen’s Cup Steeplechase actually only takes place once a year annually on the last weekend of April, so we don’t have this opportunity in November. Would you like for someone to reach out regarding fall volunteer opportunities we might have? Or are you interest in the April event?
