Alzheimer’s Awareness Night at The Notebook The Musical in Charlotte

The Alzheimer’s Association – Western Carolina Chapter is partnering with Blumenthal Arts for an Alzheimer’s Awareness Night at the May 20 performance of The Notebook The Musical, 7:00 p.m. at Belk Theater.

Based on the best-selling novel that inspired the iconic film, The Notebook The Musical tells the story of Allie and Noah, both from different worlds, who share a lifetime of love despite the forces that threaten to pull them apart. The musical is based on Nicholas Sparks’ best-selling novel, which also inspired the iconic 2004 film.

Following its Broadway run, the musical is now embarking on its US National Tour, with show dates offered in Charlotte May 19-24, 2026.

Here in North Carolina, an estimated 210,500 individuals age 65 or older are living with Alzheimer’s disease. The Notebook‘s emotional exploration of family, memory, and enduring love will certainly strike a chord for families who have experienced Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia. That’s why the national tour and Blumenthal Arts is partnering with the Alzheimer’s Association to offer a special Alzheimer’s Awareness Night at the May 20 performance of the musical.

Supporters may purchase tickets for the evening at a 25% discount using the promo code ALZ25 or by following the link below.

“We are grateful for this partnership in raising awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and ensuring support reaches those living with dementia,” said Christine John-Fuller, executive director of the Alzheimer’s Association chapters in North Carolina. “Awareness Nights like this create a powerful opportunity to highlight the impact of Alzheimer’s, connect individuals and families with critical resources, and invite the broader community to join us in the fight against this disease.”

Stop by our Alzheimer’s Association table in the lobby on May 20 to pick up information, say hello or learn how to get more involved in the fight to end Alzheimer’s and all dementia.

And of course — wear your best purple to fill Belk Theater with awareness and support for all impacted.
